Pastor Julie is from Glendale, CA and graduated from the University of Southern California with BA's in Journalism and English. She was nurtured in faith in Jesus Christ through the ministry of Grandview Presbyterian. Loving church and Jesus, she entered Fuller Theological Seminary to begin a Masters of Divinity, finishing her degree at Princeton Theological Seminary in 1989. After 10 years as a substance abuse counselor she was called back to full-time ministry and began at Clifton Presbyterian, VA as Associate Youth and Christian Education in September 2001.In January 2006 she began as Associate for Family Ministries at Palm Desert Presbyterian, serving for almost 10 years. She has a passion for women's spiritual nurture and understanding our changing culture. During the past year she helped nurture a new ministry to women in the Coachella Valley entitled, "Women of the Well. " She is a member of the Presbytery of Riverside, Chair of the AC for New Worshiping Communities, and member of EMAT. She pursues spiritual direction with the Transforming Center in Chicago, and loves to hike in our local mountains. Julie has resided in Indio for 11 years.
